PK Kunhalikutty (current minister for Industries and IT) of IUML is contesting at Vengara Constituency for 2016 Assembly Election (14th Niyamasabha Election).

In 2011 Assembly Election, PK Kunhalikutty had won Vengara Constituency with a margin of 38237 votes Against INL candidate KP Ismayil. PK Kunhalikutty had scored 63.44% of total polled votes and INL candidate scored only 25%.
